The Role:
We’re looking for an experienced data engineer with explicit skills in Google BigQuery to enable us to accelerate our migration of our data warehouse to Big Query. This will entail designing and maintaining software to acquire, manage, transform and store structured and unstructured data from disparate sources.
Minimum Requirements:
Strong knowledge and understanding of traditional data warehousing methodologies
Strong development skills in any ANSI-SQL variant
Object oriented programming and ability to develop in Python, Java, C++, or other c-type language with little to no guidance
Hands-on experience in non-SQL data persistence systems
Hands-on experience using Google Cloud databases, Query Engines, Cloud Composer, Compute, Security, etc.
Proven understanding of BigQuery with solid knowledge of BQ security, and Dataplex
Solid understanding of general math concepts
Highly detail oriented with strong analytical skills
Experience using ELT pipelines and schedulers such as Airflow and DBT are helpful
