Cloud Network Engineer

Responsibilities:
Design, plan, implement, and monitor scalable cloud network infrastructure
Perform maintenance, upgrades, and implement security standards
Use monitoring tools to identify operational anomalies and take action to resolve issues
Follow, create, and edit SOPs and documentation
Demonstrate ability to be a flexible, organized, thoughtful, and proactive team player who can work with minimal guidance as well as strong abilities in communication
Explore new technologies and solutions to enhance operational excellence and cost efficiencies
On call support - pager rotation

Qualifications:
GCP Certification
senior experience with GCP Cloud Experience (GCP VPC, Network Security, Firewall rules, Cloud Armor)
Experience with Cloud Network VPC (design, implementation, and maintenance)
Networking (routing, BGP, VPN, DNS, Load Balancing)
Network Security (F5 Big-IP, WAF, IPS)
Kubernetes and Docker Networking
Server Virtualization (GCP GCE, AWS EC2)
Scripting (Bash, Python)
Monitoring (Prometheus and Grafana preferred)
Network Configuration, Change Management, and Automation (Ansible, Terraform or Chef)
Must be comfortable working in a team environment
Must be able to work on multiple inflight projects
Must have an aptitude and a desire for proactive support of research and innovation. A thoughtful, collaborative approach with end users, staff colleagues, and other IT professionals is essential.
Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills as well the ability to work under minimal supervision in a flexible, team-oriented environment
Perform on call responsibilities as part of a team rotation
