Discover has been an Oracle Partner for over 27 years. We seek an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (Senior or Specialist) to join the dynamic IT team. The successful candidate will ensure the performance, availability, and security of Oracle database systems. This includes troubleshooting and resolving database-related issues, performing database upgrades and migrations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance.


Responsibilities
Managing Oracle software upgrades and patch management
Monitoring database performance to ensure that it meets performance requirements.
Creating documentation for database design, development, and maint. activities performed by dev.
Configure error handling for restart, logging, production support, and status reporting in Golden Gate.
Identify and produce documentation of best practices.
Troubleshooting and performance tuning Golden Gate replications.
Implementing necessary monitoring scripts for Golden Gate in UNIX/PERL scripting
Knowledge on Data Guard and Data Guard Broker configuration and maintenance
Configure error handling for restart, logging, production support, and status reporting in Golden Gate.
Proficient in Shell Scripting and PL/SQL Scripting
Knowledge on MY SQL and MS SQL Server is a must.
Advanced or fluent English
